Ladan Porooshani
Ladan has over 21 years of experience managing
and delivering successful state of the art technology products.
She grew from the engineering ranks
to senior management roles with a large computer manufacturer (DEC/HP), a
wireless CDMA (QCOM) company, and two startups (a Gigabit Switch developer
and an Internet video streaming company that were both sold off successfully
to larger companies.
She spent 14 years with
DEC/Compaq (1980-1994) developing pioneering peer-to-peer digital networking
products, related open standards, and their IBM Interconnectivity products.
She was the recipient of excellence awards from her peers for her outstanding
achievements in product delivery.
Ladan has lead the development,
interoperability, and first launch teams of Qualcomm's CDMA digital
technology, phones and networks in the US (1994-1997). She was key in
the successful launch of major US CMDA digital networks of Verizon Wireless,
Sprint, and BANM. She was
recipient of several excellence awards from these telecom vendors for their
successful launch of CDMA networks, and the smooth transition of their analog
based customers to the new digital CDMA network.
Ladan holds a Masters and Bachelor of
Engineering in Computer Science.
She is co-author of
"Gateways for Network Interconnection" in the "Local Area
Network" book published by Auerbach in 1991.
She served as an elected board member
to help run her community club.
She enjoys tennis and volunteers to coordinate several competitive
tennis teams.
